How to Get Blazamut in Palworld 1.0 — Location, Fight & Breeding

By Palworld Gaming Team · Updated 19 October 2026 · Palworld 1.0

Quick answer: Blazamut is catchable and breedable in Palworld 1.0. Our check of the full 1.0 combination table (all 44,850 parent pairings, from the PalCalc game-file dataset) found 87 pairings that hatch it, including cheap ones like Panthalus + Kitsun Noct and Panthalus + Tetroise. Wild Blazamut roam the new Flamepulse Islet volcanic zone at levels 46–50, and a fixed level 52 field boss sits on Mount Obsidian (palmods.gg, 1.0 guide). With 125 Attack, Mining 7 and Kindling 6, it is one of the strongest base-and-battle dual-role Pals in the game.

Can you breed Blazamut from other Pals in Palworld 1.0?

Yes — and it is much easier to breed than its rarity suggests. We searched the entire Palworld 1.0 breeding table (all 44,850 possible parent pairings, from the PalCalc game-file dataset): 87 pairings produce Blazamut. For a rarity 9 powerhouse that is remarkably generous — firmly in the breedable camp, unlike the true-breeding-only legends (Jetragon, Frostallion, Shadowbeak and Orserk need two of themselves) and alongside accessible endgame Pals like Beakon (264 recipes) and Astegon (104 recipes).

The cheapest route runs through Panthalus, the closest thing the 1.0 table has to a master-key parent:

All verified in the 1.0 data. If you already bred an Anubis from Panthalus + Ghangler for our cheapest-breeding-pairs run, you are one step from a Blazamut. Other verified recipes include Shadowbeak + Knocklem, Jormuntide + Blazehowl (the same parents from our Jormuntide Ignis guide), Flaracle + Azurmane, and Jetragon + Moldron — plus true breeding: Blazamut + Blazamut always produces Blazamut, so once you own a male and a female, Cake is the only currency that matters.

One caution: the 1.0 combination-table rewrite of 10 July 2026 retired a stack of Early Access recipes, and Blazamut sits near the top of the casualty list. Our breeding mistakes roundup documents the pattern — old recipes that now hatch something else entirely — so verify any pair in the breeding calculator before spending Cake.

Where is Blazamut in Palworld 1.0?

Blazamut has two wild routes in 1.0: a new island habitat and the classic Alpha cave.

The new island habitat. palmods.gg's 1.0-checked Blazamut guide pins the wild population to Flamepulse Islet at roughly (782, 442), with 16 mapped spawn points all at levels 46 to 50. This is a 1.0-new volcanic island, not the old Mount Obsidian biome — bring a flying mount, heat-resistant gear and strong spheres.

The fixed field boss. The same guide lists a level 52 Blazamut field boss on Mount Obsidian at roughly (−737, −332). Fixed-location, respawning bosses are the most predictable route to any Pal — farm it for repeat attempts and drops. As a fallback, Nerdschalk's 1.0 guide notes Blazamut can still appear at No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary on the map's northeastern edge: fly out, sweep the island, leave render range and return to reroll spawns.

The Alpha in Scorching Mineshaft. Nerdschalk also confirms the classic encounter survives into 1.0: the Alpha Blazamut waits inside Scorching Mineshaft, southwest of the Foot of the Volcano fast-travel point, at roughly (−434, −531) — a level 49 field Alpha boss, catchable and respawning.

How do you beat and catch Blazamut?

Blazamut is a pure Fire-type, and the counter is unambiguous: bring Water-type attackers. Nerdschalk prescribes Heat-Resistant armour and an Ice-type companion for the approach (the volcanic heat damages you as much as the Pal does) plus a Water damage source for the fight itself; palmods.gg's 1.0 guide specifically recommends Ultra-tier spheres, noting that rarity 9 makes lower sphere tiers a waste of a full stack, and Legendary or Ultimate Spheres for a clean catch.

Know what you are fighting. From the 1.0 game files, Blazamut is Paldeck No. 137, rarity 9, breeding power 410, with 125 Attack (23rd of all 299 Pals), 100 HP and 120 Defense. Wild spawns sit at levels 46–50 and the bosses at 49–52, so arrive at a matching level — a level 40 team will get melted. Chip it down from range while mounted, then recall your Pal before the final throws so a stray Water hit does not finish the capture. Do not enter the volcanic zones without heat resistance: the palmods.gg guide is explicit that the heat alone is a fight you can lose.

How do you breed more Blazamut once you have one?

Once the first Blazamut is in the barn, true breeding is the loop: Blazamut + Blazamut always produces Blazamut in the 1.0 table. Run the standard inheritance drill from our Palworld Breeding Guide (1.0) — merge passives from the two best parents, roll IVs, and feed extras to the condenser from our cake guide budget. Because the cross-breeding door is wide open (86 cross recipes in the 1.0 data), you can also keep one well-bred Blazamut and pair it outward for the variant line.

Blazamut Ryu, the Dragon-element variant (Paldedex No. 137, 130 Attack, Mining 7, Kindling 6), deserves its own note: it has no wild spawns and exactly one breeding recipe — Blazamut Ryu + Blazamut Ryu. palmods.gg's 1.0 guide describes it as existing only through the Summoning Altar raid at levels 55 and 80. So the plan is clear: get two Blazamut Ryu from the raid, true-breed them for perfect passives, and meanwhile let the ordinary Blazamut line be your base-and-battle workhorse.

Frequently Asked Questions

What two Pals make Blazamut in Palworld 1.0?

87 of the 44,850 possible parent pairings hatch Blazamut in the 1.0 data. The cheapest verified recipes are Panthalus + Kitsun Noct, Panthalus + Tetroise and Panthalus + Splatterina; Blazamut + Blazamut also works (true breeding).

Where exactly is Blazamut in Palworld 1.0?

Wild Blazamut roam Flamepulse Islet around (782, 442) at levels 46–50 (palmods.gg, 1.0 guide). A level 52 field boss sits on Mount Obsidian around (−737, −332). The classic Alpha Blazamut survives in Scorching Mineshaft southwest of the Foot of the Volcano fast-travel point at roughly (−434, −531), a level 49 field Alpha boss (Nerdschalk, 1.0 guide).

Can you catch the Alpha Blazamut boss?

Yes. Both the Scorching Mineshaft Alpha (level 49) and the Mount Obsidian field boss (level 52) are regular catchable field bosses, not tower encounters. Weaken them with Water-type attacks, bring Ultra/Legendary-tier spheres and heat-resistant gear.

What are Blazamut's stats in Palworld 1.0?

From the 1.0 game files: Paldeck No. 137, rarity 9, breeding power 410, with 125 Attack (23rd of 299 Pals), 100 HP, 120 Defense, ride speed 1200, and work suitabilities of Kindling 6 and Mining 7 — Mining 7 is joint-second-best in the game.

How do you get Blazamut Ryu?

Blazamut Ryu has no wild spawns and breeds only with itself (Blazamut Ryu + Blazamut Ryu). Obtain it from the Summoning Altar raid at levels 55 and 80 (per palmods.gg's 1.0 guide), then true-breed for passives and IVs.

Is Blazamut better caught or bred?

Caught for speed, bred for quality. The Flamepulse Islet spawns or a fixed boss get you fighting fast; breeding two good Blazamut together merges passives and IVs — and with 87 verified recipes in the 1.0 table, the breeding route is unusually open for a rarity 9 Pal.
