Quick answer: Catch your first Orserk in the World Tree region of Palworld 1.0 — around Dusty Ravine in the north-east of that endgame area. Breeding cannot create one from other Pals: Orserk + Orserk is the only pairing that produces it, so catch first, then breed copies.
No. We checked the full Palworld 1.0 combination table (all 299 breedable Pals, from the PalCalc game-file dataset): exactly one of the 44,850 possible parent pairings produces Orserk, and it is Orserk + Orserk. There is no cross-species recipe and Orserk does not appear on the special combinations chart.
That matters because older Early Access guides still list Relaxaurus + Grizzbolt as the Orserk recipe. In the 1.0 data that pairing produces Reptyro, not Orserk — the recipe was removed when 1.0 rewrote the breeding table. If a pairing is not Orserk + Orserk, the egg will not be an Orserk either; you can confirm any pair in seconds with the breeding calculator before spending Cake on it.
So the order of operations is fixed: catch a wild Orserk first, catch (or breed) a second one of the opposite sex, then use true breeding to refine passives and IVs. Everything below is about that first catch and why it is worth the trip.
In Palworld 1.0, wild Orserk spawn in the World Tree region — the endgame area Pocketpair added with the 1.0 release — specifically around the Dusty Ravine / Corroded Hollow area in the north-east of the region. Current 1.0 location coverage from ThePhraseMaker, Deltia's Gaming, GameRant and BisectHosting agrees on the World Tree as the catch location, with ThePhraseMaker placing spawns around Dusty Ravine at roughly -1559, 1500, active by day and night.
Two things that catch returning players out:
Once inside, use the Dusty Ravine fast-travel point as your base and sweep the surrounding hills — the 1.0 guides report multiple Orserk spawning in that area, so one trip can net you the pair you need for breeding. Orserk's own page (Orserk) lists its full stats and every pairing it takes part in as a parent.
Orserk is a Dragon/Electric-type, Paldeck No. 187 in the 1.0 game-file data, at breeding rank 120 and rarity 9, with 130 Attack, 120 HP and 115 Defense. That 130 Attack puts it joint-13th of all 299 Pals for raw attack in the data — in the same bracket as Anubis — and 115 Defense means it does not fold quickly while you work its health down. It also appears as Axel's partner in the Brothers of the Eternal Pyre tower fight, so many players will have met its move set long before they can catch one.
Typing gives you two clean answers: Dragon is weak to Ice, and Electric is weak to Ground. The 1.0 catch guides recommend Ground- and Ice-type attackers for exactly this reason — an Ice attacker such as Frostallion pressures the Dragon half, while a strong Ground Pal pressures the Electric half. Bring your highest-tier spheres (the World Tree is endgame territory, and the guides recommend Ancient-tier spheres), lower its HP carefully, and recall your Pal before the final throws so a stray high-damage skill does not knock your catch out.
Practical tip from the spawn pattern: because several Orserk can appear around Dusty Ravine, catch the first one you safely can rather than cherry-picking — you need two of opposite sexes before true breeding can start, and spawn-sweeping the hills again is faster than re-running the whole World Tree approach.
One headline job that no other Pal matches, plus genuine combat value:
For comparison within the Electric job: Grizzbolt (105 Attack, Generating Electricity 5, plus Handiwork 4 and Transporting 5) is the easier early-game generator, and Beakon (115 Attack, Generating Electricity 4) doubles as a flying mount — but neither approaches Orserk's level 8 output. Our Best Pals in 1.0 page ranks every job from the same game data.
Put one male and one female Orserk in a Breeding Farm with Cake stocked. Same-species pairs always produce that species, so every egg is an Orserk — this is the standard way to merge the best passive skills from two parents onto one bloodline and to feed spare offspring into the Pal Essence Condenser. Our Palworld Breeding Guide (1.0) explains how passive inheritance works in detail, and the Jetragon guide covers the same catch-first-then-breed-true pattern for the other Dragon legendary.
One route to skip: Huge Dragon Eggs. Orserk is in the Huge Dragon Egg hatch pool per current capture guides, but the pool is shared with a dozen other Dragon Pals, so eggs are a lucky bonus, never a plan. The deterministic routes are the wild catch, then true breeding.
Only Orserk + Orserk. The full Palworld 1.0 combination table (PalCalc game-file data) contains exactly one Orserk-producing pairing out of 44,850, and it is the same-species pair. The old Early Access Relaxaurus + Grizzbolt recipe now produces Reptyro in 1.0.
In the World Tree endgame region, around Dusty Ravine / Corroded Hollow in the north-east — roughly -1559, 1500 per ThePhraseMaker's 1.0 location guide, with GameRant, Deltia's Gaming and BisectHosting agreeing on the Dusty Ravine area. The Early Access No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary spawn no longer applies.
From the 1.0 game files: Paldeck No. 187, breeding rank 120, rarity 9, with 130 Attack, 120 HP, 115 Defense, and work suitabilities of Generating Electricity level 8 (the highest of all 299 Pals), Transporting level 4 and Handiwork level 3.
For base power, yes. Grizzbolt generates at level 5 in the 1.0 data; Orserk generates at level 8 — a tier no other Pal reaches, with the next best at level 6. Orserk also hits far harder (130 Attack against Grizzbolt's 105). Keep Grizzbolt for its Handiwork and Transporting, and let Orserk own the generator.
