How to Get Frostallion in Palworld 1.0 — Location, Fight & Breeding

By Palworld Gaming Team · Updated 7 October 2026 · Palworld 1.0

Quick answer: You cannot breed Frostallion from other Pals. In Palworld 1.0's game data it has exactly one combination — Frostallion + Frostallion. Catch the Alpha boss on the frozen lake in the Astral Mountains (around -357, 508) first, then breed two of them to clone and perfect it.

Can you breed Frostallion in Palworld 1.0?

No — not from any other pair. We checked the full 1.0 combination table (all 299 breedable Pals, from the PalCalc game-file dataset): Frostallion, Paldeck No. 200, is produced by exactly one of the 44,850 possible parent pairings, and that pairing is Frostallion + Frostallion. There is no budget combo, no chain-breeding shortcut and no special recipe that creates a first Frostallion out of cheaper parents.

Frostallion sits in the same legendary tier as Jetragon: eight Pals share the game's highest rarity, 20, and several of them breed true only. In the 1.0 data, Jetragon, Frostallion, Paladius, Necromus and Neptilius all follow the same rule — you earn the first one in the wild, and breeding is how you refine it afterwards. That is deliberate endgame design, and it is why outdated Early Access combo lists keep sending players down dead ends.

Where is Frostallion in Palworld 1.0?

Frostallion spawns as an Alpha field boss on the frozen lake in the Astral Mountains, the snow region across the north of the Palpagos Islands, at approximately -357, 508 — just east of the Land of Absolute Zero fast-travel point. That location is consistently reported by Windows Central's boss map and GameRant's Frostallion guide, and 1.0 reporting agrees the frozen-lake spawn did not move in the full release.

Two practical notes before you go:

One version note: a lot of older guides list Frostallion at level 50 — that is Early Access data. Current 1.0 coverage (timesaver.gg, checked 7 October 2026) puts the Alpha at level 60 in the full release, with its Paldeck number moved from 110 to 200. Plan for the level cap either way; even at 50 it was never a mid-game fight.

How do you beat and catch Frostallion?

Frostallion is a pure Ice-type, and Ice is weak to Fire — a strong Fire team is the standard answer. In the 1.0 game-file data, Jormuntide Ignis carries 130 Attack with Kindling level 7, and Blazamut pairs 125 Attack with top-tier firepower, so both earn their place; any Fire Pal running its strongest skills will do the heavy lifting if it is close to the level cap.

On the target's own numbers, our 1.0 data puts Frostallion at 140 Attack, 140 HP and 120 Defense. The 140 Attack ties it with Frostallion Noct and Jetragon in the joint-second attack group behind only the 145–150 tier (Bellanoir, Bellanoir Libero, Neptilius, Necromus), and its 140 HP is the joint-highest base health of any rarity-20 Pal. It hits hard and it soaks damage — expect a long fight, whittle it carefully rather than bursting, and bring Legendary Spheres as the sensible default at this rarity.

Frostallion also freezes. Its ice attacks can lock you and your Pals in place mid-fight, which is exactly when it chains follow-up hits. Keep distance management and your own dodge discipline in mind, not just your damage output.

What is Frostallion good for in Palworld 1.0?

Three jobs, all endgame-grade:

You can verify every one of those numbers on Frostallion's Paldex page, which lists its full stats, work suitabilities and breeding data straight from the 1.0 files.

How do you breed Frostallion Noct?

Frostallion has one more trick. Breeding Frostallion + Helzephyr does not make another Frostallion — it makes Frostallion Noct, the dark variant. This is one of the 77 hard-coded special combinations in the 1.0 game files (the full list is on our special combinations chart), and the PalCalc dataset confirms the pairing directly.

Frostallion Noct is worth the detour. In our 1.0 data it sits at Paldeck No. 200 (variant), breeding rank 110, rarity 20, with 140 Attack, 140 HP and 135 Defense — the same attack and health as Frostallion but a meaningfully higher defence, trading Ice typing and Cooling for Dark typing and Gathering level 7. Once you have one, Frostallion Noct + Frostallion Noct breeds true, so you can multiply it the same way as its parent. Helzephyr's own page (Helzephyr) lists every way to obtain your breeding partner.

How do you breed more Frostallion once you have two?

Catch a second Frostallion from the respawning Alpha, making sure the pair gives you one male and one female. Put them in a Breeding Farm with Cake stocked, and every egg is a Frostallion — the combination table guarantees the child species. From there, breeding pays off in three ways:

Check any pairing instantly in the breeding calculator before you commit Cake to it — if the calculator does not list Frostallion as the child, no amount of waiting at the farm will change the result.

Frequently Asked Questions

What two Pals make Frostallion in Palworld?

Only Frostallion + Frostallion. Across the full Palworld 1.0 combination table no pair of different Pals produces Frostallion, so your first one must be caught from the Alpha boss on the frozen lake in the Astral Mountains.

Where exactly is Frostallion?

On the frozen lake east of the Land of Absolute Zero fast-travel point in the Astral Mountains, at around -357, 508, per Windows Central's and GameRant's boss location guides. Bring cold-resistant armour for the area.

Can you breed Frostallion Noct instead of catching it?

Yes — Frostallion Noct is never caught; it is bred. Pair Frostallion with Helzephyr in a Breeding Farm and the egg is always Frostallion Noct, one of the 77 special combinations in the 1.0 game data (Frostallion + Helzephyr, PalCalc dataset). Frostallion Noct + Frostallion Noct also breeds true.

What are Frostallion's stats in Palworld 1.0?

From the 1.0 game files: Paldeck No. 200, breeding rank 150, rarity 20, with 140 Attack, 140 HP, 120 Defense, Cooling level 7 and a ride speed of 1,800. Frostallion Noct shares the 140/140 attack/health line but raises Defense to 135.

Is Frostallion worth it if I already have Jetragon?

Yes. Frostallion is the cleanest Ice counter to Jetragon-class Dragon fights, one of the strongest Ice attackers in the game data, and the second-best Cooling worker available — so a caught or bred Frostallion earns a party and base slot even alongside Jetragon.
