Quick answer: Bastigor is an Ice-type Pal in Palworld 1.0, Paldeck No. 191, with 130 Attack, 140 HP and 120 Defense and a ride speed of 1100. Catch it wild in the World Tree at levels 75 to 80 (Game8; palworld-db.com), or breed it — but only from itself: our check of all 44,850 pairings in the 1.0 combination table (PalCalc game-file dataset) found exactly one recipe, Bastigor + Bastigor. It holds the game's only Cooling 8, and its 140 HP ranks 5th of all 299 Pals.
Bastigor's only wild home is the World Tree, the endgame region in the far north-west. Game8 lists its location as the World Tree Northwest Wild Spawn, and palworld-db.com counts 69 spawn points in that zone, around the Abandoned Laboratory, all in the level 75 to 80 band. Day and night use the same spawn points, so the time of day makes no difference — one loop of the zone is a shot at Bastigor and at the other Ice Pals sharing those points (palworld-db.com).
That is a very late-game hunt: level 75 to 80 puts Bastigor among the highest-level wild spawns in the game, so arrive near the level cap, with your best spheres and a strong Fire Pal in the party. Its drops are Ice Organ and Leather (Game8).
Do not confuse the wild spawns with the tower fight. Bastigor also appears beside Bjorn as the Feybreak tower boss at (-1294, -1669), a level 60 fight (level 80 on Hard) with a Fire weakness (Game8's 1.0 boss list; allthings.how). That tower copy is a boss encounter and cannot be caught with a sphere — it is a fight, not a catch (palworld-db.com).
Bastigor is a pure Ice type, so Fire-type attackers are the natural counter — the tower listing gives Fire as its weakness, and the same applies to the wild spawns (Game8; allthings.how). Bring your strongest Fire Pal and ranged damage, and clear the surrounding wild Pals first, since the World Tree is dense with high-level spawns that will join the fight.
At levels 75 to 80 this is an endgame catch: palworld-db.com notes the higher-level spawns resist spheres noticeably harder, so hunt the low-level spawns for your first catch and save the high ones for a condenser stack later. If you are after the tower version instead, allthings.how's boss guide recommends cold-resistant armour for the Feybreak trek and a strong Fire Pal with a damage passive — Bastigor's huge health bar melts to Fire, but it hits hard if the fight drags.
Once you own one Bastigor, the fight gets easier in a different way: a Bastigor squad is the standard Ultra Raid army in 1.0 — allthings.how's Ultra Raid guide builds its Bellanoir Libero counter-team around Bastigor's high Defense, small hitbox and Ice typing. Catching your first two is the hard part; after that, breeding does the rest.
Breeding cannot shortcut your first Bastigor. The 1.0 table gives it exactly one recipe out of 44,850 pairings: Bastigor + Bastigor. Put one male and one female Bastigor in a Breeding Farm with a Cake in the chest (see our cake guide), and check any pair in the breeding calculator before committing parents — 1.0 rewrote the table and Early Access lists are wrong.
The old recipe is the trap to watch for. Pre-1.0 guides (TheGamer, January 2025; GameRant, February 2025) all say to breed Anubis + Frostallion for Bastigor, from a Huge Frozen Egg. In the 1.0 game files that pair hatches Eidrolon, not Bastigor. The same guides list Cooling 4, Lumbering 3 and Mining 3 — 1.0 raised every work level. Trust the 1.0 game files, not Early Access lists.
Once you own a pair, true breeding is the fast route to a full squad: Bastigor + Bastigor always hatches Bastigor, so you can roll for better passives without returning to the World Tree (see our passive skills tier list and breeding guide). Bastigor is also a useful parent: it produces 71 distinct children, including Anubis, Blazamut, Jormuntide and Knocklem.
From the 1.0 game files, Bastigor is Paldedex No. 191, rarity 8, with 130 Attack, 140 HP and 120 Defense — a combined 390 — with breeding power 50 and ride speed 1100. That ranks 10th of 299 for Attack, 5th for HP and 22nd for Defense: a genuine tank that also hits hard.
Its work line is where Bastigor is unmatched: Lumbering 6, Mining 5 and Cooling 8. Cooling 8 is the highest in the game — Bastigor is the only Pal of all 299 with Cooling 8 (palworld-db.com's cooling guide agrees: the rank ceiling of 8 is held by one Pal, Bastigor). Lumbering 6 puts it among only eight Pals at that level or above. That three-job spread makes Bastigor the best all-round base worker in 1.0 (see our best work suitability Pals).
Its partner skill, Blizzard Crash (Game8), lets Bastigor be ridden as a ground mount — while mounted it delivers crushing blows with a hammer forged from Ice, dealing 100/120/140/160/200% damage as the skill levels up. The saddle, Bastigor's Hammer, unlocks at Technology level 73 and costs Ice Organ x50, Paldium Fragment x140 and Soralite Ingot x30 (Game8). At ride speed 1100 it is a solid mid-pack ground mount — well behind Jetragon's 3300 (see our fastest flying mounts) — but no flyer cools your base.
Wild Bastigor spawn only in the World Tree region, in the north-west, at levels 75 to 80 — 69 spawn points around the Abandoned Laboratory, day and night (palworld-db.com; Game8). It also appears as the Feybreak tower boss beside Bjorn at (-1294, -1669), but that copy cannot be caught.
Only Bastigor + Bastigor. The 1.0 combination table gives Bastigor exactly one recipe out of 44,850 pairings, so your first two must be caught wild in the World Tree. The old Anubis + Frostallion recipe hatches Eidrolon in 1.0.
Game files: Paldeck No. 191, rarity 8, 130 Attack (10th of 299), 140 HP (5th), 120 Defense (22nd), ride speed 1100, Lumbering 6, Mining 5 and Cooling 8 — the only Cooling 8 in the game. Its partner skill, Blizzard Crash, lets it be ridden and deal hammer attacks of 100–200% damage.
Bastigor's Hammer unlocks at Technology level 73 and costs Ice Organ x50, Paldium Fragment x140 and Soralite Ingot x30 (Game8). It lets you ride Bastigor as a ground mount at speed 1100 and use the Blizzard Crash hammer attacks.
Yes — it is the standard Ultra Raid army in 1.0. Its 140 HP, 120 Defense, small hitbox and Ice typing make a Bastigor squad the go-to counter-team for Bellanoir Libero and other Ultra Raid bosses (allthings.how).
