What is Palworld Criminal Activity Underway?

If you have been playing Palworld, which is one of the most popular games in recent months, in this world, you can live the life of a criminal. It is strange, but yes, you can live the life of a criminal in the world of Palworld, but you need to understand that NPCs are well protected under the might of the law. So, if you deploy the Pal to attack NPCs or players, then you might meet some dangerous guards who come to instil justice.

The Palpagos island in the Palworld may look like a chaotic environment without law, but for any unlawful activities, there are repercussions. We will explain the Palworld criminal activity, so without further ado, let’s take a closer look at this.

What is Palworld Criminal Activity Underway?

There are some NPCs, like Syndicate or Free Pal Alliance members, which don’t go out of their way to attack you. If your pal attacks them, then you will be flagged with a warning of criminal activity. If you want to get critical activity, then keep attacking them until you become wanted in the game.

If you get a notification for a forbidden action on your screen with the message “Criminal Activity Underway,” this means you have violated the in-game law. After that, the game will promote the mobilisation of Palworld Island Defence Force (PIDF) troops to converge at your location. I think it’s a good message or sign that informs you that you are heading somewhere where you shouldn’t be or doing something you shouldn’t be doing, so either you should stop or avoid being spotted.

The PDIF, known as the Palpagos Islands Defence Force in the Palworld game, is an in-game police force that plays a very important role. This force handles shutting down criminal activity with extreme prejudice. Upon criminal activity, you will get a pop-up “Criminal Activity Underway…” letting you know that you have committed something that isn’t supposed to be done by the player.

How to get Palworld Criminal Activity Underway

There are two primary ways through which you can get the wanted status for doing the Palworld Criminal Activity Status.

  • Assault
    • Attacking any PDIF officer or friendly NPC counts as assault. In addition to this if you are also trying to catch a human NPC with a pal Sphere.
  • Trespassing
    • There are some restricted areas where you aren’t allowed to go, like the Secret Wildlife Reserve. If you go beyond the permissible area, you will get to the desired level, and then you will get to the Criminal Activity Underway. But also, if you get spotted, you will be attacked by local pals in restricted areas. Dialogues pop up to let players know that you’re trespassing.

It’s worth noting that for any reason, either assault or trespassing, a PDIF officer will come after you to hunt you down.

What happens if I get Palworld Criminal Activity Status?

If you get wanted status, then Palworld’s Police Force will send their force, called PIDF Guards, to your location. They will attack you; if you fight back or continue to attack the NPCs, then your wanted status will keep increasing. In addition to this, the more wanted level you have, the stronger the PIDF Guard will attack you.

Upon getting the “Criminal Activity Underway.” notification, PDIF officers will spawn that has excellent armour and automatic weaponry that gives the PDIF enemies a challenge; they are tough to take down and will assault you with all they have.

The more you rack up, the more powerful and numerous PDIF officers you will face. At a point, PDIF’s officer strength will become insurmountable even with the help of your pals.Even if you try to fast-travel away or run away, they also teleport and spawn near you or with you, so as the wanted level increases, there will be less escape. It is not like that if you hit NPCs, they will shortly return to their normal state and will talk to you; at least that’s not the case as of now.

Can I remove my criminal activity status?

Yes, there are several ways to get rid of Palworld criminal activity underway.

  1. The best possible way to remove criminal activity is to defeat all PIDF guards. As soon as you finish those you want, they will disappear. It is only possible with the incredibly powerful AoE Pal attack, although it will probably be a while before someone confirms this is removing the wanted status.
  2. Another way is if you die fighting the PIDF Guard, then your wanted status will disappear. However, this feature doesn’t seem to be the best option of all.
  3. Lastly, what I do when I get the Criminal Activity tag is just waiting for Wanted Status to disappear, for which I go to my base inside a fortified building where PIDF Guards aren’t allowed to enter. Otherwise, you can head over to a place where the PIDF Guard doesn’t enter.
    • If you die, then you will lose your collected items from your inventory and will respond like a simple stubborn person, so I think death isn’t a good idea at all. Try running towards the forest and trying to lose the PDIF offers, and like GTA, it will clear up the wanted in well under a minute.

Conclusion

The game is still in early development; Palworld’s Wanted Status is not perfect yet, and it is still buggy, especially with some inconsistent rules. Likewise, the wanted level doesn’t go up if you keep attacking friendly NPCs or the guard. Sometimes I even emulated the Friendly NPC in small settlements, but I didn’t get the desired status.

Dying in the game is the most realistic way to remove your wanted status. After dying, you will respawn like a normal player with no penalty, and then you can continue with your stuff.
