How to Find and Catch Lunaris in Palworld?

To find the elusive Pal known as Lunaris in Palworld, you’ll need to travel to the Sea Breeze Archipelago, a small island chain located southwest of the Windswept Islands starting area. Use the Fast Travel point north of the dungeon as a base camp. From there, head southwest towards the top of a hill where you’ll find Lunaris’s underground lair entrance slightly southwest of the Alpha Gumoss landmark. However, be prepared to clear out a hostile Syndicate Camp first before accessing the lair.

Once inside, engage Lunaris – a powerful level 32 Neutral-element boss. Have a team of high-level Dark-element Pals like Daedream ready, as their attacks will be super effective. Carefully whittle down Lunaris’s HP without landing a knock-out blow. When weakened enough, equip your strongest Pal Sphere (preferably a Giga Sphere) and use it to attempt capturing Lunaris. With perseverance and strategic use of your Dark Pals’ strengths, you can add this valuable crafting and anti-gravity support Pal to your crew.

Step 1: Travel to the Sea Breeze Archipelago

The first step is to make your way to the Sea Breeze Archipelago, as this is the only location where Lunaris can be found.

  1. From the starting area on the Windswept Islands, head southwest.
  2. You’ll eventually come across a small chain of islands called the Sea Breeze Archipelago.
  3. Use your map or look for the icon to locate the nearest Fast Travel point north of Lunaris’s dungeon on this island chain.
  4. Fast travel or make your way to this northern Fast Travel point to set up a base camp.

Step 2: Prepare Your Team

Before taking on the level 32 boss Lunaris, you’ll want to make sure your character and team of Pals are sufficiently leveled and equipped.

  1. Aim to be around level 30 or higher for your main character and Pals.
  2. Equip your strongest gear and items to increase stats like attack, defense, and HP.
  3. Stock up on healing items and revives in case things get dicey.
  4. Form a team comprised mostly of Dark-element Pals, as they will be strong against Lunaris’s Neutral element typing. Great options are Daedream, Depresso, Nox, Mau.
  5. Consider bringing multiple Daedreams if you have the Daedream Collar, allowing them to actively fight alongside you.

Step 3: Clear the Syndicate Camp

There is a Syndicate enemy camp located near the hill where Lunaris’s lair is. It’s recommended to clear this camp first.

  1. From the northern Fast Travel point, head southwest towards the top of the nearby hill.
  2. You’ll likely encounter hostiles from the Syndicate Camp on your way up. Defeat them.
  3. Once you reach the top, take out any remaining Syndicate enemies and clear the whole camp.
  4. This removes a threat and distraction when you go to take on Lunaris shortly after.

Step 4: Enter Lunaris’s Lair

With the camp cleared, you can now focus on finding the entrance to Lunaris’s underground lair.

  1. At the top of the hill, look for a dungeon entrance slightly southwest of the Alpha Gumoss landmark.
  2. This is the entrance to the lair where Lunaris awaits. Gather your team and step inside when ready.

Step 5: Battle and WeakenLunaris

Inside the lair, you’ll finally come face-to-face with the powerful Lunaris. Strategically weaken it to capture it.

  1. Lunaris will immediately engage you once it’s disturbed in its lair. The battle begins!
  2. Use your Dark-element Pals to your advantage, as their attacks will be super-effective.
  3. Focus on depleting Lunaris’s HP as much as possible without killing it.
  4. Be very careful not to land the killing blow, as fainted Pals cannot be captured.
  5. When Lunaris is low on health but still standing, get ready to capture it.

Step 6: Capture Lunaris

The final step is successfully capturing the weakened Lunaris using one of your Pal Spheres.

  1. Once its HP is low enough, equip your strongest available Pal Sphere (Giga is recommended).
  2. Use the Pal Sphere on Lunaris and hope the capture is successful! Higher level spheres have higher catch rates.
  3. If caught, Lunaris will now join your team of Pals as a hardworking crafting companion.
  4. If unsuccessful, you’ll need to weaken Lunaris again and try re-capturing with a new sphere.

With patience and preparation, you’ll add the incredibly useful Lunaris to your Paldeck! Its anti-gravity and crafting abilities make it an invaluable asset.
