How to Breed Faleris in Palworld?

If you’ve been exploring the vast open world of Palworld, you’ve likely come across some powerful flying Pals that can serve as mounts to quickly traverse the Palpagos Islands. While mounts like Vanwyrm and Surfent are great for getting around, there’s one highly coveted Pal that stands out as the absolute best flying mount: Faleris.

Faleris is an exotic Fire-type Pal that not only allows for extremely fast air travel, but also provides useful benefits through its “Scorching Predator” ability. When Faleris is in your active party, you’ll receive bonus loot drops from any defeated Ice-type Pals.

However, as awesome as Faleris is, actually acquiring one is no easy feat. In the wild, Faleris only spawns in an ultra-tough end-game area guarded by high-level enemies. Your other option is to dive into Palworld’s deep breeding system to create your own Faleris through a very specific combination of parent Pals.

If you want to guarantee adding the mighty Faleris to your roster, then breeding is definitely the way to go. It will take some work, but this guide will walk you through everything you need to know.

The Breeding Combination for Faleris

The first step in breeding Faleris is to obtain two other incredibly rare Pal specimens:

  • Vanwyrm
  • Anubis

Vanwyrm and Anubis must be male and female (it doesn’t matter which is which). Only this precise mating pair will result in producing a Faleris offspring when they breed.

These parent Pals aren’t just randomly paired together either. Anubis is actually a prerequisite to breed Vanwyrm in the first place!

So in order to ultimately create a Faleris through breeding, you’ll need to first acquire the materials to breed an Anubis, and then an additional Vanwyrm on top of that.

How to Breed Anubis

To breed an Anubis, the two parents required are:

  • Broncherry (male)
  • Relaxaurus (female)

The good news is that both Broncherry and Relaxaurus are reasonably obtainable in the early to mid-game compared to the Pals needed for Faleris.

Broncherry can be found around level 11 in the Lake area of Eastmire. Meanwhile, you’ll likely run across Relaxaurus by around level 16 or so in Cactusville.

With a male Broncherry and female Relaxaurus ready, you can breed them at your base’s Breeding Station using a Cake as the catalyst item. Their mating will produce a massive egg that incubates into a level 1 Anubis after some time.

How to Breed Vanwyrm

The other half of the Faleris equation is Vanwyrm, a Flying-type Pal that’s a bit easier to come by. In fact, lower-level Vanwyrms start appearing fairly early once you venture west of the starting area into the Sealed Realm.

Capturing a male and female Vanwyrm is certainly an option if you want to try breeding them directly. However, keep in mind that its earliest spawns are still fairly bulky level 20+ Pals that may give you trouble early on.

The alternative is to breed Vanwyrm from more beginner-friendly parents first:

  • Bitterling (male)
  • Frillish (female)

Bitterlings spawn in the Grassy Fields area around level 5, while Frillish are found in rivers and ponds at a similar level range. With these two bred, their egg hatches into a level 1 Vanwyrm that’s much easier to deal with.

With Anubis and Vanwyrm finally in hand, you’re all set for the final Faleris breeding step!

How to Breed Faleris in Palworld?

Now that you have your male Anubis and female Vanwyrm (or vice versa), take them back to your Breeding Station and get another Cake ready. Assign both Pals to the breeding pen, insert the Cake, and their mating process will initiate.

Unlike regular Pal eggs, the result will be a huge, scorching red “Large Scorching Egg” after the progress bar fills. Carefully transfer this egg over to your Incubator and wait for it to hatch.

The incubation time for massive eggs like this is quite lengthy, easily stretching into multiple real-world hours or even days. You can speed up the process substantially by increasing the “Time to Incubate Massive Egg” setting in your gameplay options.

Just be sure to monitor and maintain the optimal temperature and conditions for the egg during the entire incubation cycle. If all goes well, you’ll finally get your hands on a level 1 Faleris once the egg hatches!

Getting Faleris Ready to Fly

However, your job isn’t quite done yet after hatching Faleris. The final step is to unlock and craft its saddle so you can actually ride it.

Faleris’ saddle is available in the Technology tree once you reach level 38. With it unlocked, you can craft the saddle itself at the Pal Gear Workbench using these materials:

  • 30 Leather
  • 10 Cloth
  • 30 Refined Ingots
  • 25 Flame Organs (dropped by Faleris)
  • 30 Paldium Fragments

Once you’ve made the saddle, equip it on Faleris and you’ll have full access to its crazy movement speed and carrying capacity as an aerial mount. Be sure to designate Faleris as an Active Pal too so you can benefit from its “Scorching Predator” bonus perk.

At this point, the skies are now yours to soar across on the back of Palworld’s best flying transport! That final encounter with the massive chonk that is Faleris’ Alpha boss will be a piece of cake compared to all your diligent breeding efforts.

The Payoff of Breeding Faleris

While breeding Faleris is certainly an arduous process, the investment is well worth it for any truly dedicated Palworld players. Not only do you gain access to unmatched aerial mobility for fast travel, but Faleris’ bonus rewards against Ice-types are invaluable.

Even players way late into Palworld’s sprawling end-game will find immense value in having Faleris always by their side. There’s a good reason this Pal is considered the king of flying mounts!

But that’s just the start of how breeding can elevate your Palworld experience. With patience and the right parent pairings, you can assemble an unbeatable team comprised of the most powerful Pals across every type and stat distribution.

The key is taking a methodical approach to set up the proper Pal breeding sequences early on. If you start working towards elite breeding goals as soon as possible, you’ll find yourself blowing past portions of the game that would normally halt your progress.

So if you want a huge head start and quality-of-life upgrade for the long Palworld journey ahead, make Faleris your first major bred Pal acquisition. That early time investment will continue paying dividends all the way to the ultimate endgame!
