How to Fix the Flapping Sounds Bug in Palworld

This issue isn’t rare; many have encountered it, and the studio doesn’t fix it even after a couple of patch updates. Although fixing this framing is quite straightforward, I have noticed that the flapping sounds do occur with the partner type, which is a flying type. Many have said this annoying glitch largely occurred with Celeray like the Zephyr Glider Partner Skill unlocked.

As many are experiencing the error with the Zephyr Glider, we will be taking it as a focus. Simply put the Celeray or any other Flying Pals into your Pal Box at your base, which will mute them completely, but bringing them back will volume up the sound again as soon as you pull your pals from your Pal Box. Let’s start by troubleshooting the pal’s constant flapping sound. Check out the step-by-step instructions.

Restart your Palworld.

It is as simple as that. Simply close and then re-open Palworld. Based on the platform, here’s how you can restart Palworld.

Steam

  1. Press Alt + F4 or press Ctrl + Alt + Del, then head over to the Steam Library.
  2. Right-click on Palworld.
  3. Then select Quit, and then launch Palworld again from the Steam Library.

Xbox One Series X

  1. Press the Xbox button on the controller.
  2. Head over to Palworld, and then press the menu button (which will appear as a three-horizontal line).
  3. Choose Quit, and then relaunch Palworld directly from the Xbox Home screen.

Players can also choose to do a full restart; however, the game natively doesn’t offer the option to completely restart Palworld Progress. If you want to do a full restart of Palworld, then uninstall the game and then reinstall.

Disable sound effects, then re-enable sound effects.

If you are still having the same issue, then you can disable the sound effects in Palworld from the in-game menu. Below are instructions to disable the sound effect and then re-enable it across all platforms, including Steam, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.

  1. Launched Palworld
  2. From there, head over to Settings, then choose Sounds.
  3. Then you have to turn the SE slider to 0. By making this adjustment, it will disable the sound effects.
  4. Then, restart Palworld, and then repeat the settings to re-enable the sound effects.
  5. Next, you now have to go back to Settings, then to Sounds, and from there, adjust the SE Slider based on your preference level to re-enable the Sounds Effects.

Currently, developers don’t give players an option for a Separate Slider for the music or sound effects in the settings menu. You can only disable all the sound effects, which can either be muted or have sounds. So by identifying the issue, which often occurs with the Flying-type partner pals, especially Celeray, with the Zephyr Glider partner skill unlocked, By heading back to your base and putting Celeray or any other Flying pals in the Palbox, don’t use to mute the constant flapping sounds bug in the game.

Hopefully, Flapping Sounds may fix the bug, and if it still has the issue, then you have to indeed disable the sound effects permanently. I think it’s a great solution. PocketPair is expected to fix this update with major updates in the future. Developers are actively working on many things. For the next major update, developers have also invited players to a closed beta to test future updates, like the PvP mode, alongside optimization of the existing game. The studio is outsourcing and getting help from Microsoft’s Xbox Division to help make the game stable ahead of release.
